When God made the world and all that it contains, he saw that it was good. God can and does reveal himself to us through the created world in various signs and symbols. Catholics believe that God has chosen seven particular and grace-filled ways to reveal his presence in our lives; we discern these signs, which we call sacraments, in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
Sacraments are ritual actions, visible and tangilbe to the human senses, through which God communicates grace and blessing in a hidden manner. Both a key moments of our lives and in the more common, everyday moments, God comes to us to fill us with his love and blesssing in the sacraments.
The whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments.
