Confirmation 2024 - Are You In?
Ready to explore the big questions of life, faith, and purpose?
This year's Confirmation programme is all about going deeper - discovering more about Christ, connecting with other young people, and saying YES to the adventure of faith! We'll be following the Alpha Youth Series, a 10-week journey that tackles the questions you're asking, with short films, real-life stories, and open conversations.
Confirmation will be celebrated on 11 June by Bishop Stephen - but the journey starts now!

Why Alpha Youth?Forget stuffy lessons and boring lectures. Alpha Youth is designed for this generation - it's real, it's relational, and it's all about encountering Jesus in a way that makes sense to you. We'll be watching the films, chatting about what we think, and discovering how faith connects to everyday life.

What is Confirmation anyway?It is about saying 'I'm in' to God. Confirmation is where we receive the Holy Spirit in a powerful way, giving us the strength and courage to live out our faith in the world. It's a big deal, and Alpha Youth will help you prepare for it every step of the way.

Who's it for?This programme is for all Catholic young people in Year 9 and above, no matter what school you attend. St Aidan's and St Anthony's schools are working with Our Lady of Mercy Parish to make this happen, so we can journey together as a wider community.
