It is good for us to be here

Matt. 17:4

Welcome to the University of Sunderland Catholic Chaplaincy!
The Chaplaincy is a student support network, as well as a community of people from all over the world who come together to explore and celebrate the Catholic faith.

Our vision for the chaplaincy is that it may provide a welcoming, relaxed and safe environment for students to meet, socialise, and discover more about the Catholic faith.

Whether you are a Catholic or not, we are here to journey with all students, and our experienced and friendly Chaplains, Fr Marc and Adrian are always willing to listen and ensure that you get the support that you need.

The Catholic Society (CathSoc) was established by students to provide an active and vibrant Catholic presence in the University. The Society is student-led and works very closely with the Chaplains to plan and organise events. If you would like to become a member, please contact our President to find out more at

International Social in Aid of CAFOD 31/3/17 @ 7pm

International Social Night in aid of CAFOD

The Catholic Chaplaincy & Society organised a hugely successful International Social earlier this year on Friday 31st March. The Chaplaincy would like to thank all those who attended and help raise nearly £700 for CAFOD. Dishes from around the world were provided, and we’d especially like to thank all those people who contributed in this way. Thank you also to the members of Youth for Christ who performed some music and all those that took part in the games. It was a great celebration of the beautiful diversity of our parishes and we hope to hold a similar event next year.
